Pet Names is a Maryland-based duo playing folk, rock, and beyond.

Partners in both music and in life, Camila (guitar) and Maggie (bass) co-write all of their original music. Their sound is rooted in rich vocal harmonies and lively instrumentals, with lyrics that range from thoughtful to tongue-in-cheek. They draw inspiration across decades and genres—Washington City Paper wrote that their debut EP, Hey Hi Hello, “effortlessly pair[s] early aughts indie sensibilities with classic rock.”

Maggie and Camila are lifelong musicians with a love for live performance and transforming their full band recordings into acoustic duo arrangements. They especially enjoy test-driving songs-in-progress at shows, and have fallen in love with the DMV’s supportive local music community. Eager to learn, and equally headstrong, Pet Names is taking a DIY approach to organic music-making in a digital world.

Maggie (↑) is a snack fiend from Silver Spring, MD. She's most at peace while car camping or sitting on a porch with nothing to do.
